Matthieu (Alex Rizat), 17 years old, wonders if he’s transgender, accumulates risky sexual encounters, defies the forbidden and prostitutes himself to survive. He has dropped out of school, is exploited as a cashier in a supermarket and suffers from homophobia, including that of his father. Matthieu is in search of a social, professional and family identity. Nothing makes sense anymore. He imagines himself as a tragic figure, a victim of destiny. Through his sexuality, he borders on gender confusion, self-mutilation, submission and alienation. A contemporary literary approach, striking visual writing, accompanied live by Cyril Noël’s haunting electronic music.
