Funkindustry

The highlight of the 2023 edition of the Pelpass Festival in Strasbourg (France) is undoubtedly the concert by Funkindustry. Born in 2014 out of a shared passion for funk and groove, this successful group gets audiences dancing to rhythms inspired by Jamiroquai and Michael Jackson. In 2020, thanks to the social networks that made them a household name in Japan, the 6 musicians discovered they had a reputation in this country that they had never imagined. Thanks to the Internet, Funkindustry produced an album in 2023, produced both in Strasbourg and in Japan, in active collaboration with Japanese artists. The newly-created sound of ‘Midnight City Lovers’ combines the pulse of funk with the rhythms of Japan’s hugely popular City Pop.
