Edouard Ferlet⎜Inhale
Since his first album in 1997, Edouard Ferlet has enjoyed creatively manipulating the piano, adding sound-processing and MAO technologies. The result is unexpected sounds reminiscent of the synthesizer or harpsichord dear to Johann Sebastian Bach.
Ferlet’s Pianoïd 2 project is a virtuoso exploration of the relationship between man and machine. Here two Yamaha instruments: a Silent™ grand piano and a Disklavier™ upright piano. Twelve elegant works emerge, with hints of neo-classical and ambient, shimmering with restrained minimalist jazz. A sumptuous ensemble from which “Inhale”, brought to the screen, is born in the image in a refined and poetic scenography.
