Avishai Cohen & Makoto Ozone | "The Amity Duet"

Makato Osone graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1983, and gave a recital at Carnegie Hall that same year. A dazzling pianist and the first Japanese musician to be signed exclusively by CBS, he was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2003. He has collaborated with some of the greatest musicians, from Gary Burton to Gonzalo Rubalcaba, from the Marsalis brothers to Arturo Sandoval, not forgetting Chick Corea, with whom he shared a staunch friendship.

Libelo Productions’ recording of the concert featuring Avishaï Cohen and Makato Osone at the Philharmonie de Paris, co-produced with Futur Antérieur Productions, is the outcome of a warm and trusting collaboration between the two companies. The video shooting shows one of the finest evenings of the “Amity” world tour.
